BSOD from atikmpag.sys while playing CS:GO or Payday 2

I've been on this computer for 1 year with this configuration now and this is the first time I've been getting something like this. I'd like to know if this is a fault by hardware, software or BIOS/G-BIOS.

Specs:
CPU: AMD Phenom II X6 1055T
GPU: PowerColor AMD HD7870 PCS+ Myst Edt.
MB: MSI 890FXA GD-70
PSU: Thermaltake 750W

Software: Catalyst Software Suite (Omega (14.12)) (got the drivers and software from this)
Running on Win 7 Ultimate x64
Please do tell if you need more information.

Hello, Kresslack and welcome to the forums. I will try to help you with this. You have 3 recent dump files. I checked them and they all say the same thing.

Code:
VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE (116)
Attempt to reset the display driver and recover from timeout failed.
Arguments:
Arg1: fffffa8007c514e0, Optional pointer to internal TDR recovery context (TDR_RECOVERY_CONTEXT).
Arg2: fffff88004c6b848, The pointer into responsible device driver module (e.g. owner tag).
Arg3: 0000000000000000, Optional error code (NTSTATUS) of the last failed operation.
Arg4: 0000000000000002, Optional internal context dependent data.
Code:
 atikmpag
start end module name
fffff880`04474000 fffff880`0450a000 atikmpag T (no symbols)
    Loaded symbol image file: atikmpag.sys
    Image path: \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmpag.sys
    Image name: atikmpag.sys
    Timestamp: Thu Nov 20 20:08:54 2014 (546E9EB6)
    CheckSum: 00093077

    Translations: 0000.04b0 0000.04e4 0409.04b0 0409.04e4
That, of course, is your graphics card/driver. The drivers crashed and did not recover in the time allotted by Windows, so Windows assumed a video failure and shut down. Please reinstall your graphics driver. Download the latest driver from https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ndows-7-a.html and follow this to get as clean an install as possible.

I am going to give you some links that will help you get a good clean install and not have any drivers you don't need that will conflict with other drivers. Download a WHQL driver from https://www.sevenforums.com/graphic-c...ndows-7-a.html . Once you have them downloaded, uninstall you current driver from control panel. next clean up any left over drivers from following this tutorial Drivers - Clean Left over Files after Uninstalling and select only ATI Display Drivers. After you have done that and rebooted, install the new driver, only select custom install and install only what you have to. Very few people need most of what they include. You do not need the audio/HDMI drivers as you already have that in your Motherboard drivers. Unless there is some reason you need them, the only thing you really need is the Display Driver.

It still seems to occur.

I did everything you said -downloaded the latest drivers from AMD, uninstalled from Programs and Features first and then opened up DDU in safe mode and selected AMD, restarted the computer; then I installed ONLY the graphics driver from the installer -not even CCC, which I used to use to get some overclock with my previous cards or downclock to reduce the heat. Didn't seem to work.

Although it let me play Payday 2 for a while (around half an hour), when I opened up CS:GO and get into a game, the game froze after a minute. Not a BSoD but the repeatative sounds left over from the frozen game stood still even after I closed the game from the Task Manager so computer required a restart.

Before closing up the game, I managed to create a dump file for it -but I don't know how to locate it -would dm log collector be able to locate it if I run it again?

And secondly, does anyone know about stable drivers for PowerColor HD7870 PCS+ Myst Edt.? I tried their website but their connection is slower than even my connection and it downloads a corrupt file usually -meaning, it finishes the download before downloading the whole file.

There are no new dump files there. Please run the following online virus scanners

Scan with Kaspersky TDSSKiller:
http://support.kaspersky.com/viruses...on/5350#block1
Anti-rootkit utility TDSSKiller
ESET online scanner:
Free Virus Scan | Online Virus Scanner from ESET
Free Online Virus Scanner | ESET

Also, go into BIOS and give me the values of your +12V, +5V and +3.3V

Downloaded the scanners and I'm now scanning with ESET, then I'll scan with Kaspersky and then I'll post the voltage values you mentioned from the BIOS -I'll edit them into this post.
