    BSOD Physical Memory Related

    Hello,
recently my memory usage has refused to return to standby. I can kill the process in the task manager, but it won't put a dent in the percentage, which, after 1-2 hours of use, starts to hover around 88-90% of my 8gb, with only a single tab of Chrome open.

The resource monitor states that it is "In Use", yet the processes themselves do not add up to nearly the 7gb that are apparently being used. I cannot identify where my PC is bleeding its memory, but it inevitably continues to increase in usage until my computer becomes almost unusable, then blue screens, which it has done twice now. I have run a windows memory diagnostic, but it came back all clear.

If there are any issues with the dump report, additional information that would be helpful, and/or I didn't format it correctly, please let me know so I can fix/update it.

Thank you for the assistance and time.

Both of the dumps included in the logs are indicating a possible problem with your RAM. First off it would probably be best to free up your Startup.

    Code:
      Sidebar %ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\Sidebar.exe /autoRun NT AUTHORITY\LOCAL SERVICE
      Sidebar %ProgramFiles%\Windows Sidebar\Sidebar.exe /autoRun NT AUTHORITY\NETWORK SERVICE
      Skype "C:\Program Files (x86)\Skype\Phone\Skype.exe" /minimized /regrun Sheila\UnunseptiumAD

Click Start and type (or copy and paste) msconfig into the search box and hit enter. Click on the Startup tab and uncheck everything bar your AV suite. Click Apply and reboot.

Download and run MemTest86+ to test your RAM. RAM - Test with Memtest86+

       Note
    Attachment 352933

Run MemTest86+ for at least 8 passes. Ideally set it off before you go to bed and leave it overnight, we're looking for zero errors here. A single error will show something's going bad with your RAM.

Report back with the MemTest86+ results.

    Ran MemTest86+, just finished it.

    Got the following failure:

    TST:8
    Pass:9
    Failing Address: 001a7a7d008-6778.8MB
    Good: 04000000
    Bad: 04100000
    Err-Bits: 00100000
    Count: 1
    Cpu: 0

So does this mean I should start looking at some new RAM for my computer or...?

If your ram has failed memtest it would be wise to ascertain if it is a faulty ram stick or a problematic slot on your motherboard, try individual sticks in each slot to see what pass/fail results you get, you don't want to buy new ram to find out the prob is in your mobo

How would I determine if it were a motherboard issue vs. memory stick issue from the Memtest86+ utility?

How many sticks of RAM do you have installed?
