Random BSODs on idle, bootup, and accessing files.

    Hi,

Started experiencing BSODs about a month ago following an aborted upload of image files from my Canon camera. After running virus scans, memchecks, driver updates and a chkdsk the system stabilized. I deleted all the dmp files at that point, presuming that the problem had disappeared.

Now they've returned with a vengeance: one following a Windows Update, the next upon the subsequent boot, then one when idle. I've just experienced another while attempting this post and, though the dump file isn't included in the zip, the error message is:

    Problem signature:
    Problem Event Name: BlueScreen
    OS Version: 6.1.7601.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033

    Additional information about the problem:
    BCCode: 1e
    BCP1: FFFFFFFFC0000005
    BCP2: FFFFF8800BABCC70
    BCP3: 0000000000000000
    BCP4: 0000000000000000
    OS Version: 6_1_7601
    Service Pack: 1_0
    Product: 768_1

Files that help describe the problem:
    C:\Windows\Minidump\032515-20592-01.dmp
    C:\Windows\Temp\WER-42947-0.sysdata.xml

I'm suspecting a hardware problem related to the front panel USB ports. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

The Broadcom 802.11g Network Adapter seems to be the main culprit in most of your recent dumps, see if you can find an updated driver for it.

    Thanks for the quick reply.

I've not been able to find an updated driver for this adapter, but I did notice an orphan 802 device in my Device Manager - no doubt a remnant of a previous network adapter which had failed. I uninstalled that device and will see what happens.

    Keeping my fingers crossed...
