I bought the hard drive from stone computer when I did my build. My old hard drive wasn't compatible. It's under warranty. I just have to convince them that it's the hard drive that's bad.

Do you have another PC that you can plug the hard drive into to run more tests?

They do and they would probably do that if I asked.

Ok I see, Stone computer is a local PC shop then?

Yes I would ask them to test your hard drive and/or motherboard because one or the other is bad.

What tests should I ask them to run?

Actually I just got so frustrated that I ordered a new hard drive and a new motherboard and I'll just install both of them. We'll see if that solves the problem.

Minus a CPU (which there have been 0 signs of) I'd say this is the almost full proof way of making them go away.

Just make sure you come back here and start a new thread on installation forum and ask for assistance installing your hardware and then installing the OS, getting correct drivers and updates.

Well, I ended up replacing the mother board and the hard drive and wouldn't you know it, the system works flawlessly. I guess sometimes you just have to throw money at a situation to fix it.

Either way, thanks for all your help gator. Consider this case closed.
