Here's another pic.
Here's another pic.
My computer is acting just like it did before where it's having all sorts of random issues where it is basically unusable. I took a mid term this morning and I'm wondering if the responses lockdown browser is causing the issues.
It crashes every time I try to uninstall it.
I just uninstalled it I'm safe mode but now I can't go give minutes without a crash. However the crashes are not blue screens. Just windows shutting down.
I ran some anti virus scans and came up clean but in the middle of one, all the icons on my desk top disappeared and the computer stopped responding so I did a cold boot. I'm considering doing a reformat.
I forgot to do the uninstalling of my graphics card driver and the reinstalling of the better version. I just did that and I'll let you guys know if I have any more bsod
The graphics one is a side issue, apparently. Please strike out those steps you have already taken in the box above.
A physical storage drive itself==> Checked, free from errors.- Faulty/bad cabling
- Failing storage ports
- Any third party backup-restore tool
- A storage filter driver of an antivirus program
- A virus.
- A failing RAM can cause any sort of issue.

Faulty/bad cabling==> checked wires and put in new sata cables in all ports
Failing storage ports==> ?? not sure what this would be.
Any third party backup-restore tool==>?? not sure what this would be.
A storage filter driver of an antivirus program==> uninstalled AVG
A virus.==> virus scans clean and recent reformat
A failing RAM can cause any sort of issue.==> new ram installed
Again. I'm wondering if the respondus lock down browser had anything to do with any of my problems. A lot of the issues went away as soon as I uninstalled it. But I still got the blue screens.
Actually I just did some research and found that since I had a bsod during when the lock down browser was on, it caused problems. So it looks like the weird issues with desk top icons disappearing and not responding is a separate issue form the BSOD. The weird issues were most likely caused by a BSOD during the midterm test using the lock down browser.
Failing storage ports means any SATA port on the motherboard. Here you need to try other ports on the motherboard.
Any third party backup-restore tool ... well, anything like Acronis, or Paragon?
About Faulty/bad cabling, have you re-seated all the devices from the ports? Including the graphics card and RAM?
If those things are taken care of, the best nest step will be to perform a clean reinstall and observe at which point (during installation, after installation, or during or after any particular driver/software installation) the BSOD bounces back.
