BSOD While Browsing Web

Hey Forum,

I was watching a video on YouTube and last thing I knew my laptop BSODed and I got the DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error. I uploaded the files for people to check. Im using a Dell Inspiron laptop. I believe all the info is in the zip file. I had to cancel the msinfo portion of the DM Log Collector as it was stuck on CD-ROM

*UPDATE* I restarted the laptop and I restarted DM Log Collector and it got through the msinfo portion, the new file is uploaded

See if you can update the Intel Rapid Storage Technology (IRST) software from the Intel site.

If not, remove it as follows:

1. Uninstall it from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. Uninstall the driver from device manager:
- Right click on "my computer" icon and click "manage" on the context menu.
- In the "Computer Management" window that opens:
- Select "Device Manager" in the left pane, It will list all the existing devices.
- Expand "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers" by clicking on the triangle in front of it.
- Select one Intel device item under it, right click, then uninstall.
- Repeat the process for all Intel items under "IDE ATA/ATAPI controllers"
3. Now restart the computer.
4. Once booted, Windows will auto configure the appropriate native system driver.

I can't explain why, but its a common issue. Lets see if the system stays stable after the changes you made.

An odd one - a 0x124 possibly due by the Avast VM monitor driver.

Try 2 things:
1. See if Avast is updated.
2. If it is updated, and you still get BSOD's, uninstall Avast and replace with MSE.

Apparently not, I would uninstall it and replace with MSE.
