    Recent BSOD after video edit

My PC is a Dell XPS 430 desktop, Win 7, AMD Radeon HD 7700 Card, Brand New Power/Fan installed a year ago...everything else is factory. I've had a few BSOD's in the past but nothing that has ever faulted my Hard Drive, Motherboard or Heating issues. I have the PC doctor Toolbox and did a Full system troubleshoot scan along with complete Virus Scan by Kaspersky...came back healthy. So I'm confused why PC Doc came back faulting my Graphics Card ( atkimdag.sys ) to be specific. Now I know my PC may not be completely Powerful enough to handle some big tasks So I'm sort of blaming Adobe Premiere right now. I got the Blue screen during a video edit. So This may be the culprit. Curious what anyone's Professional opinion is on the matter, if you require any further information feel free to ask. Thanks so much in advance!

Below is the attached system .zip File to help investigate.

    Code:
Start Menu\Programs\PC-Doctor Toolbox for Windows	Public:Start Menu\Programs\PC-Doctor Toolbox for Windows	Public
Firstly, it is recommended to avoid using these sorts of applications to diagnose and treat the system - we see more trouble from them than solutions. Uninstall it completely from your system.

Ok, Yes I've heard that from multiple people as of Late. They've stated that PC Doctor is not a Valid Program and can cause issues...however I've experienced No issues from that software since Purchasing it 4 months ago. I've had BSOD issues long before that. Since using it, has caused no issue and is never running in the background as I work. So If there is something that physically shows in the .ZIP File provided that it is the Root cause, I sort of enjoy using it and identifying the Cause of other issues. If there is a Much better and stable version Please point me in the right direction there. Thank you.

Other than that, Based on the .zip, what may I ask stands out as the Real issue? I'm going to verify there is an update to my Driver but for what I do with my PC it more or less feels like a Ram issue, that is just my Spidey sense for the last 2 years. I've had kaspersky and large File size Photoshop Documents crash my PC before so its not always been the GFX card. I have also Stopped Windows updates as of 3 weeks ago due to the Updates crashing my PC to the Point where there is no real Value in an update. If anyone can answer or help with any of these remaining issue I can clarify 4 years of Guessing.

atikmpag.sys is the ATI driver. It is outdated as evidenced in the .dmp file. I only work on experience and observations in the .dmp files. Stopping Windows Updates isn't smart - one of the chief reasons for BSOD's is outdated system files.

You are free to decide how to act on the recommendations provided - no one is forcing you.

your right, ignoring updates is not smart but I also cannot have them crashing my PC every time they automatically begin so I'm attempting to be selective on critical updates VS unnecessary ones. I am indeed taking your advice in this situation, I am just trying to make sure that atikmpag.sys was the issue and indeed is, I referenced a Page that tells me how to take care of it and Now I think all I need is to verify those steps mentioned.

apparently I need to update or possible downgrade the Radeon HD 7700 graphics card driver.

Step 1.) replace the atikmpag.sys with a new copy, remove your graphic card from the Windows 7 device manager. Then uninstall the Catalyst suite.

Step 2.)Download the latest ATI/AMD Catalyst Suite which includes a fresh copy of Atikmpag.sys and install it.

Does this Seem about right? Also, Am I confusing ATI with AMD or are they one in the same?

That looks right - ATI=AMD, same thing. Try the latest stable drivers, not beta.

Narrowed the issue down to a possible malware problem via Conduit Softwares. which I have now addressed and will pursuit this week. By the way, Here is what I got back from PC Doctor Support regarding your advice on its malicious history. So I'm a little Torn right now.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------------

Thank you for contacting PC-Doctor Technical Support.

To clarify, PC-Doctor, Inc. is the worldwide industry leader in PC hardware diagnostic software and system health software. The PC-Doctor product suite is the most comprehensive set of diagnostic software tools available. Our products do not clean the registry, optimize systems, scan for viruses, or detect spyware.

However, there have been multiple products and companies who have used similar names over the years. Unfortunately, some of these other companies and products have been malicious in nature, and occasionally people will mistake us for one of them.

We always appreciate the opportunity to respond to both positive and negative feedback, and often it is an honest misunderstanding of who we are. Please feel free to share any sites where you have seen this feedback, and we will be happy to clarify any misunderstandings about our software.

We do collect some general information from your system and our software (e.g. system manufacturer, frequently used tabs in our software, etc.) but we do not collect any data that is either personal or identifiable. If you feel uncomfortable with sharing any of your data with us, you are welcome to opt-out by going into the Settings and unchecking the box next to "Allow access to online resources". The option to opt-out of sharing system data is also presented the first time PC-Doctor Toolbox runs on a system as well. I would suggest taking a look at our EULA (there is a link under "Allow access to online resources"), which explicitly states our position on "Personally Identifiable Information".

I would also like to state that I have not seen any instances where our software has caused BSOD's, and if our software finds record of a recent BSOD it will report it under the Performance tab, along with suggested steps to fix or identify the cause of the issue. If you ever think that our software may be responsible for a BSOD, please let us know and we will work to identify and resolve the issue.

Please let me know if you have any other questions or concerns.

    Thank you,

If you feel that way then simply Don't reply then sir, I'm not pressuring you to respond. I'm not at all sure how this site works but if I wanted to speak with a cynical tech I'd Just take my PC down to a random tech shop. I would of never posted seeking advice which I have taken an utilized. I posted regarding More or less about the BSOD, my GPU, or other possible software issues. You stated PC doctor is one of the Culprits, So I verified it.

" Firstly, it is recommended to avoid using these sorts of applications to diagnose and treat the system - we see more trouble from them than solutions. Uninstall it completely from your system. "

is that a crime to make sure this is correct before uninstalling a paid program? I'm just asking questions, I've never said your advice is Bad. You tell me what the Purpose of this thread is, because Tech issues are not 1-2 sentence answers. I have 2 other techs looking at my issue and Fixed it. So I am going to close this board...some personal advice, You come across angry when people question you. Not a great way to get through to people....people come to these forums for support not Arguments. Thanks for your help anyways.
