VMX is the configuration files of a virtual machine. If you have VMs I suspect that is why you see them activated sometimes and not others.
Your ram appears to be running fine. It is running at 1333 but could run at 2400 if you enabled XMP in bios. But it is fine to run them at 1333 with correct timings, which you do have. I really can't say what the problem is right now, but when you first told me about the ram, my first thought was the Motherboard if the ram itself is not bad. But, as far as I can tell you have not completely tested the ram yet. It takes a minimum of 8 passes.
Is all of your ram Corsair and did it come as a kit?
While I admit it is a pain, you could check and see if there are any bent CPU pins under the CPU. But, I would start running the tests talked about in Post #7.
