VMX is the configuration files of a virtual machine. If you have VMs I suspect that is why you see them activated sometimes and not others.

Your ram appears to be running fine. It is running at 1333 but could run at 2400 if you enabled XMP in bios. But it is fine to run them at 1333 with correct timings, which you do have. I really can't say what the problem is right now, but when you first told me about the ram, my first thought was the Motherboard if the ram itself is not bad. But, as far as I can tell you have not completely tested the ram yet. It takes a minimum of 8 passes.

Is all of your ram Corsair and did it come as a kit?

While I admit it is a pain, you could check and see if there are any bent CPU pins under the CPU. But, I would start running the tests talked about in Post #7.

Is your ram on MSI's QVL List? if it isn't, that's what they are going to say. Been there, done that.

Ok, that's good. That is just the excuse most motherboard companies use when you have ram problems. It's your fault, if you know what I mean. The QVL list is simply the ram types they have tested and most of the time you can't find that model anyway. it does not mean no other type ram will work, just they didn't test it. It gives them an excuse to say it is your fault not a problem with the board.

No, nothing else. It is supposed to set the timings correctly. Try setting it to Manual and set the timings yourself. Set the frequency and Dram Voltage yourself according to Manufacturer's specs. The problem may be the Memory Controller on the CPU. Many of them are not capable of running ram at that speed except the i7's. That is typical.
