    Unexplainable BSOD on friends computer


    According to my friendhis PC has been having BSOD's for a long time now but never were much of a problem since they only seemed to happen when he left his PC running for more than a few days. But ever since a few days ago it started to happen more often, sometimes even multiple times a day. As it is not my PC, and I cannot monitor what happens before the crash, I can't find out what is causing the BSOD. I was hoping that anyone here could help me with this problem since I can't fix it myself.

    About the BSOD(according to my friend):
    It seems to happen randomly, he mostly plays games on his pc but it appears to happen even when he's not playing games
    I've already scanned for virusses using AVG, ran malewarebytes, CCleaner, and defrag'd his PC

    I've included the DM Log Collector file in the attachments

    According to the log your friend needs to start with installing SP-1.

    Okay I've updated his windows and installed all the service packs, but he still gets the BSOD's, I hope this new log will give some insight and hopefully be able to give the reason for the bluescreens.

    The installed Windows is counterfeit - The installed Product Key is an OEM_SLP Key for an ASUS computer - the motherboard here appears to be a retail one.

    You need to reinstall using genuine media and Key.
