BSOD After Bios Default Reset at Windows Logo

    Evening,

So my computer is about 2 weeks old. I got it built by a mate who is away and I figure he must have set the bios up a special way, because I set them to default when I was changing my voltage and now I get a BSOD at the windows logo screen everytime. I don't know how to boot to safe mode, when i press f8 all i get is the option to boot to my seagate hd. It uses American megatrend i think. Can't system restore I get an error. Have windows 7 on a usb and can access .exe's and such via command prompt in the computer repair option. Note the repair setting here doesn't work either. Played around with bios a bit setting sata IDE etc no luck. Please help me find some way to find out what is causing this bsod and fix it. It's a new computer. Thanks.

First thing I would try would be to set sata to AHCI mode, this will almost always cause a BSOD if set wrong and most systems will default to a different setting.
If this doesn't work then its going to be hard to know what other settings have been changed. There are no other obvious ones that spring to mind that would cause a bsod if set incorrectly other than sata mode.

    edit
May also be worth checking ram and cpu voltages etc are at standard settings for your hardware and turn of any boost or turbo functions for your ram/cpu as sometimes these will increase voltage when they try to step up speed

I have tried that but perhaps I had the wrong settings I was playing with. I will post a picture and perhaps you can suggest a change?
