BSOD Kernel Data Inpage Error with "0xc000009c"

Just an update:

So I figure the reason I don't have any memory dumps is because it's physically unable to make them as per this error screen:Attachment 362113

I stopped getting BSoDs for a while, and then today it would happen every time I logged on. Tried chkdsk, nothing. Friend suggested to check the memory sticks. I ended up moving my RAM from slot 1 to slot 2, and so far so good! So I don't know if the issue is completely resolved but at least I can use my laptop.

That error (c000009c) is "STATUS_DEVICE_DATA_ERROR", which could indicate hardware problems with the disk subsystem on the machine, or just driver issues. When did this start happening, and have you checked your drive to see if it's reporting SMART errors?

I remember it starting about late March, but would only happen if it came out from hibernating or if it was sitting idle. It just happened again while sitting idle. I checked the disk status using cmd, said it was OK, but I'm not sure if there's something else I should be using to check that.

c000009d == STATUS_DEVICE_NOT_CONNECTED

I just went through a 7A with another user this week, with the same sorts of errors. It's very likely a disk hardware issue, so I'd start by testing there. As always, make sure you've got the latest driver updates for your hardware (including motherboard chipset drivers), etc., before doing any real troubleshooting.

What's the easiest way to tell if I'm all up-to-date with drivers? Graphics I have no problem with, but I have no idea where to start with the motherboard and chipset series.

Depends on the system - if it came from a vendor, start with their support site for the model of PC or laptop you've got. If your system specs are accurate, the download page for your model is here:

After that, since that machine is an Intel device, the latest Intel chipset drivers can be downloaded directly from Intel:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/pro...lation-Utility

As for other devices, like video cards, go to the video card manufacturer's website (nvidia in your case), and pull the driver update from there:

So the Intel Chipsets (INF?) fails every time it tries to install. Also should I be updating the BIOS?

Edit: Looking through the registry it seems it did update properly. However both the IntelDriver tool and Device Manager are still detecting the older, out of date version.
