It's possible that the OEM customized the chipset and thus you can only use specific versions of the chipset driver. Not to worry at this point - best to open sysdm.cpl, click the "Advanced" tab, click the "Settings" button under the "Startup and recovery" section, and make sure it's set to "Kernel memory dump". Click the "OK" button, click the "Settings" button under the "Performance" section on the Advanced tab next, click the "Advanced" tab here, click the "Change" button, and make sure that the "Automatically manage the paging file..." box is checked at the top. Click the "OK" button and restart your computer.
You should now be set to get a memory dump the next time the system crashes.
