    Bsod: Irql_less_or_not_equal

well i finally got the BSOD
the error i get on the BSOD is as the tittle says IRQL_LESS_OR_NOT_EQUAL
All drivers im aware of are up to par, and i generally take good care of the system.

hopefully the file im uploading is the correct one.
unfortunately i cant find the dump files, and just changed the settings to the mini dump instead of kernal.

the BSOD only seems to appear whenever im playing games...however that could be a coincidence

hopefully my gpu is just dying and i can use it as an excuse to buy a 970
    thanks in advance everyone.

Try to update Intel(R) C600 Series Chipset SATA RAID Controller from Intel Download Center or from Dell's site.

Report us for any further BSOD after doing it.

    Try in Dell's site too?

Update to that driver is not the most feasible solution for this issue, because it will fail again after 6 months or so. But the other way involves a good lot of workload.

If Dell also does not have any update, we have to take that laborious way.

    Neither.

Now let us come to the point. The failing driver is the RAID driver as stated earlier. And RAID is always problematic, I said about it in post #4 a little.

Now, as we cannot update the driver, better to break RAID right now. How to Disable RAID: 5 Steps (with Pictures) - wikiHow

BUT, breaking RAID will not allow you to boot into windows anymore. So you need to perform a clean reinstall. Clean Reinstall - Factory OEM Windows 7

    So the plan is ....

    1. BACK up your user data externally, or with cloud.
    2. Break RAID
    3. Perform a clean reinstall.

    Permanent solution of this issue.

You need to copy the user files (documents, pictures, music, videos), not the user profiles. :)
