Now, there are three different BSODs lately, in a very small time interval. One blames the Avast antivirus.

Uninstall Avast using Avast Uninstall Utility. At least as a test. Use Microsoft Security Essentials as your antivirus with windows inbuilt firewall, and free MBAM as the on demand scanner.

Another one blames the network adapter?

Well, as the network driver is too old, update it. Download and install the driver from Realtek ... get the second one from the list (that is the "Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program") there and install it.

The other one is clueless, apparently.

One more thing ... as there are versatile different bugchecks, there may be a memory issue. Test your RAM modules for possible errors.

How to Test and Diagnose RAM Issues with Memtest86+

Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.
