    BSOD Application Error

    Hello,

    Yesterday I was playing on my computer just fine and today it won't start up anymore.

    I cannot get any additional information because my computer won't start up.

    The error I am getting is

    "STOP: c0000145 {Application Error}
    The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000000d). Click OK to close the application"

    And then my computer proceeds to restart, repeatedly.

    Thank you for your welcome, I read the instructions before posting, however this is all the information I can give you, I cannot give you a log because I cannot log in to windows, not with safe mode or anything else, hence my short post.

    Ah sorry, the only things I can suggest to do then is to try a windows recovery disk to do a roll back?

    The problem is, without the logging we cannot see what specific applications have crashed as that is a generic warning.

    I figured as much, just posted here to see if I could perhaps get a hint on the problem. I suspect it has something to do with the latest updates, since those were installed last I shut my computer down.

    Thank you for your help anyway, I'll post here when it is resolved or if I have additional information.

    It could very well be a update issue, but yes i'll keep a subscription to this thread so I know of new information you post!

    just wanted to say i found this convenient thread on Google. i'm having the same exact issue as Krobon.

    i ended up just reformatting since i needed to do that anyway. but i noticed that whenever i install the latest Windows updates, the issue comes up again and i get the BSOD that he described. i tried this twice and got the same result. any ideas?

    By your last post I'm guessing now you can log into windows, can you? Since you said you got BSOD when you're updating Windows.
    Can you do the test you previously can't and get the result? Need 'em to better assess your problem

    ==edit==

    sorry I thought you were OP :|
    I'm not sure but IIRC you probably better to start your own thread

    Hi there, i have 4 PCs (2 Desktops and 2 Laptops) Got the same problem of BSOD on 3 of them... reinstalled my main PC again and it BSODed again after updates, but 1 of the laptops didnt BSOD after installing the last updates, the only difference is the language of the OS. Those PC that had BSOD after update was Russian SO and the laptop Spanish.

    Dont rlly know if thats mean anything, I just reinstalled SO like 5 times and then i get sick of it... and resotred from point before the updates, it works fine, but anytime i install the updates the BSOD comes back.

    Let me know of any news.

    Thanks.

    Regards

    Hi guys, i read some topics on Russian forums and it seems that an update released on April 15th is causing the problem.

    The kb3045999 is the cause of this issue. Just try to delete it, and the BSOD it gone.

    Didnt test it yet, im on work, ill let u know if it works.

    Thanks

    Regards
