System service exception BSOD playing Starcraft 2

Hi, I am running Windows 7 Ultimate Edition SP1 64-bit. I was playing Starcraft 2 and I got BSOD. I haven't gotten a BSOD in a while so I thought it was weird.

I wasn't sure if it's my graphics card overheating so I set my automatic fan curve to be more conservative and also took steps to decrease the ambient temperature outside the case.

The only thing I remember from the BSOD was "System service exception". So I ran SFC /scannow and I obtained the attached CBS.log and sfcdetails.txt (containing [SR] strings).

Please see the attached files and any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,
    John

There's only one dump file in your logs. I'll outline what it's showing below.

     REALTEK DRIVER

Your Realtek RTL8168E/RTL8111F/RTL driver is being flagged. It's old and needs updating. Check here for an updated version.
    Code:

     NVIDIA DRIVER

Your nVidia driver is causing issues. Check here for the latest driver for your card and follow NVIDIA Drivers - Avoid Problems for the cleanest possible install.
    Code:

     DAEMONTOOLS

Uninstall Daemon Tools, a proven cause of BSODs.

    1. Uninstall Daemon Tools.
    2. Download the SPTD standalone installer and perform the following steps.
    3. Double click the executable to open it.
    4. Click the button shown below.

       Information
If the button it is grayed out as shown in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system and you can just close the window.

Hi, I uninstalled Daemon tools. The dialog that opened with the file you linked had no uninstall option. So I uninstalled from the control panel.

I tried installing the new Realtek drivers but I got an error RTinstaller has stopped working.

After I uninstalled a Nvidia audio driver, it would not allow me uninstall the rest until I restarted.

I restarted and now I get a blue screen error and I am unable to start windows: "process1_initialization_failed" stop 0x0000006B. I am typing this on my phone. I don't know what to do. Please help.

That uninstaller is for SPTD, not DaemonTools. You have to run that after uninstalling DaemonTools.

Did you download the correct driver? Did you uninstall the old one before installing the new one?

A 0x6B means you've disabled or removed a driver that's needed at bootup, I've no idea what driver you've disabled or deleted there. Can you boot into Safe mode and see if you have any Restore points available?

Hello, I did not uninstall the Realtek driver before installing the new one. I must have been confused on the sequence. Sorry about that. In terms of the correct driver, I selected "Win7 and Server 2008 R2 Auto Installation Program (SID:1719463)". Is this correct? I am not familiar with the Realtek drivers. For the Nvidia drivers, I have the 2nd most recent drivers for my graphics card (350.12). However, I noticed I have several old versions in the Nvidia folder which I was instructed to delete via the link you sent. I deleted those and I started to uninstall in the audio drivers from Nvidia first because I don't think I use them at all.

I will load a restore point and I will let you know how it goes. Thank you for the help.

In startup repair, I cannot find an option to do a system restore. Therefore I am trying to boot into safe mode but when I press F8 starting up, it always just goes to the bios.

Ok, I found the option to start in safe mode by pressing F5 when booting, but I get the same BSOD.

    Hi,

Here is what I have tried to do:

    1. I ran startup repair but it always says Windows cannot automatically be repaired.

    2. I tried to boot to last known good configuration and I got same BSOD.

    3. I ran chkdsk /f on all my letter drives and it fixed some file system errors. Upon reboot, same BSOD.

    4. I did a system restore to the point where I tried to install new Realtek drivers. It said system restore completed successfully. Upon reboot, same BSOD. Surprisingly I do not have any other restore points even when I clicked show more.

    5. I ran SFC /scannow but it always says there is a system repair pending and to reboot and run SFC again. I have done this 3 times with the same resulting message.

I am not sure about the bit about what is marked as active or GPT or MBR disks. My c:\ where Win7 is installed is a SSD.

    Any other suggestions? Thank you.
