A disk read error occurred: Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart

I can't get my computer to do anything. I can only go to either Del: Enter Setup or F12 Boot Menu. I've tried to press F8, no luck. I've even tried to run a Factory default disc, recovery, and system repair disc. Still nothing. Please help.

Your hard-drive might be heading for a ride into the sunset.
Do you have restorable image or folder/file backups of all your data files, pics, etc.? If yes, then locate or create [on another computer] a DVD or USB stick with hard-wire checking, especially HD-checking utilities on it, run it.
If you have no restorable backups, cease trying to fix this for now, and using another computer -- locate, download any one of a number of versions of Puppy Linux ISO, burn said ISO onto a DVD or USB stick, attach another empty 32GB-64GB stick[s] to empty USB port[s] -- backup, backup, backup all your data stuff.
IF this is an impending HD failure, and I say IF, then you may only have 2-3 HD-spin hours at worst, a day or two at best, again IF this is a impending HD failure.
