BSOD from pretty much anything

Ok, so I'm finally up and running.
No crashes so far, but not everything is working as I had hoped.

When I booted after mounting all the new hardware I couldn't get back in to windows, as expected, but reinstalling it was an ordeal.
Bios had trouble finding all the drives and even now I'm missing my 1TB HDD, even though it's plugged in.

Also, should it really take Windows 7 23 seconds to boot?
I seem to remember it being faster.
My dads windows 8.1 takes about five seconds to boot and his system isn't as powerful as mine. Is that just the OS being quicker?

That should not be occurring. Have you checked if your HDD is compatible with your motherboard?

AS Laith says mate and I reckon if the drive isn't being seen is not a good sign either personally I have found any drive comes with software that you will see as being installed and that should be that.

Also in my experience 8 on the same machine as I was running 7 and even in 7 style I found generally faster as I do the 10 does on the one machine I have it on.

Now is there a chance of testing that drive on another machine? Take a look to see if it is recognised in that machine BIOS and Device Management or even something like Partition Wizard Best Free Partition Manager for Windows | MiniTool Partition Free < a very good tool for manipulating drives and partitions.

Ordinarily I should think your machine should boot in no more than a minute or two. Have you tried booting it with only C: drive connected?

This is what i think, but is the drive sectors maybe corrupted due to a motherboard change? Is that possible?
