Well i do also burn to the reamining discs i have. After i'm done with them then i'll start burning to USB as it dosen't write in laser as DVD does and you can't format DVDs.
That's why USB is suitable for me, rather then spending alot of money on discs i can just re-use my USB.
For me it is just the convenience really of pulling out the bootable disk form my collection and at $0.20 each well not such an expense bit we are getting OT here he?
A minor update.
I enjoyed a couple of days without crashes which really got my hopes up, but the problems returned yesterday.
I wasn't able to boot Memtest86+ through the USB memory so I'm willing to try burning it to a cd.
Are there any good free programs for this you can recommend? I don't suppose Windows come with any.
Yes Windows comes with a burner program just download and go to burn and it will be offered see this Burn Disc Image - ISO or IMG file and there is also ImGburn

As I said earlier I prefer disks because they are easily filed and can be used over and over and cost almost nil.
So I can't find any errors with Memtest but the problems persist.
Lately I've been getting freezes which pass after a couple of minutes. My music stops and I can't really do anything, but when the computer unfreeze the music starts again and I get an error message like this:
Just like before, when this happens all the icons on my desktop vanishes, except the recycle bin and the computer icon.
Also, the start menu is totally empty.
Boozad said earlier that this is likely a sign of HDD/SSD problems.
Now I do not think the SSD's themselves are faulty as the one I'm using now is brand new and because I got the same BSOD with my old SSD.
So what do you think? Broken SATA ports or cables?
Possibly all three - no guarantee the SSD is faultless but highly unlikely th e cables a definite yes some good quality ones are no expensive and the ports on the board well I have never tried refixing them and I would think if the drive is connected up to any of them the drive should show up somewhere - again an outside possibility and the board itself just a suspect.
The error window you posted has Dropbox at the top and the little I know about it I cannot say if it is interfering with the system. Just what do you use it for? If it is not a great deal and it is just an addon it might be worth disabling it if you can or uninstalling it. By the way I cannot quite see the error codes because some of the pic is fuzzy.
I switched the SATA cable yesterday and unplugged my old empty SSD and the HDD. Not sure why they would cause problems though as one of them is empty and the other one only contains music, movies and such.
So far so good! No crashes yet. I really hope this is it.
Actually mate they do say not cables are the same and maybe this is one of those times.
For example the better stereo systems use those rather large cables simply because they are better at carrying current and again there is the quality of the cable base material that will make a difference.
