    BSOD after SSD install 07E

Installed Crucial MX100 in March. Have increasing BSOD. Been with Crucial support many times but am not really sure it is not drivers. Hooked to SATA2. Cannot connect to SATA3 or it gets worse. There may be multiple causes so I will attach all the info. Getting ready to go back to the old drive system. I appreciate any assistance!

Make it sure that the SSD is having the firmware update MU02. Crucial SSD Firmware Updates

Ahh yes - another issue. Tried to do that earlier today and got a fail with status code 13. Crucial was no help on that. Their suggestion was to put it in another PC and try it there. They did not know what status code 13 meant. Any suggestions? I am still thinking about that one!

No, I dont! Crucial should be a bit more responsive.

OK! Great link. I dug through the thread and on the 4th page someone suggested changing the SATA2 ports to AHCI, run the firmware update, then change back and that worked. Apparently it will only update in AHCI mode(one would think Crucial would know that). I have the latest firmware now and that is progress. I will monitor it a couple of days and, if no BSOD, I will try moving it to SATA3. Will repost the results and thanks!

I was still getting BSOD after the SSD update so I just had to do a fresh install. Lucky that I am a backup nut and keep all my data files on a separate drive from the system. NO BSOD since on the SATA2 port. I want to do the SATA3 though. Did you see what would be failing on the SATA 3 side from the files I posted?

Nothing typically in your files, but SATA3 drivers (Intel, Marvel, ASmedia, whatever) contribute to Stop 0xF4 and 0x7A BSODs many a times.

Are you getting any remarkable difference/drop in performance if you set SATA2 with msahci?
