    You also had this

    Code:
    DRIVER_VERIFIER_DETECTED_VIOLATION (c4)
A device driver attempting to corrupt the system has been caught. This is
because the driver was specified in the registry as being suspect (by the
administrator) and the kernel has enabled substantial checking of this driver.
If the driver attempts to corrupt the system, bugchecks 0xC4, 0xC1 and 0xA will
be among the most commonly seen crashes.
    Arguments:
Arg1: 0000000000000091, A driver switched stacks using a method that is not supported by
the operating system. The only supported way to extend a kernel
mode stack is by using KeExpandKernelStackAndCallout.
    Arg2: 0000000000000002
    Arg3: fffffa80071be060
    Arg4: 0000000000000000
Could you tell me why you were running Driver Verifier? It is designed to make your computer BSOD.

    Code:
    NTFS_FILE_SYSTEM (24)
If you see NtfsExceptionFilter on the stack then the 2nd and 3rd
parameters are the exception record and context record. Do a .cxr
on the 3rd parameter and then kb to obtain a more informative stack
        trace.
    Arguments:
    Arg1: 00000000001904fb
    Arg2: fffff880086c8928
    Arg3: fffff880086c8180
    Arg4: fffff880012ea965

That is the McAfee Host Intrusion Detection Link Driver. Please remove McAfee and then use the McAfee removal tool How to uninstall or re-install supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool McAfee is a well known cause of BSODs.

    Hi

and thanks for the welcome and offer of help. i was handed the machine to diagnose, so the any previous tests were carried out by no succession. we have many machines with sam einage and a/v (corporate image) and they are fine. would you say i should uninstall the a/v and reinstall ?

thanks, all help is welcomed and appreciated

The laptop might be sent with bad parts or been taking care badly so the parts became damaged.
