Continuous BSOD no matter what (Minidumps and other data included)

    Hi!

I built a pc for my parents last year and it has had issues from the beginning. It has an i5 4460, Crucial MX100 256Gb, Gigabyte H97N-WIFI, Kingston HyperX 2x4gb, WD blue 1TB HDD, Seasonic G-550 wrapped in Antec ISK 600. The PC does not have a graphics card. Hardware-wise it should be a decent build for normal home use but apparently not.

BlueScreenView has listed 20 different crash reports and the issues are:
-It may give a BSOD anywhere anytime, idle or under stess.
-When it does so, quite often internet signal is lost for a while (maybe an hour or so)
Turning on: start button -> fans turn on for two seconds->fans turn off and boots-> black screen->Gigabyte DualBIOS-> black screen-> boots normally but much slower. This whole procedure usually takes approx. one minute whereas normal boot is ~30sec.
-Most of the times it's hard to wake it up from sleep
-Sometimes reseting the BIOS is the only way to turn it on.
-The newest issues I noticed is that that the original Intel processor fan "loops" every seven seconds, as if it would turn down the speed a bit for a short while. Not related to the issues above.

What I have done so far to fix these issues:
    -Reinstall Windows 7 ultimate 64bit ~4 times
    -Downloaded all the Windows updates
    -Updated BIOS to the newest
-Trying to look at BIOS settings, AHCI, memory voltage etc.
-Installed all the newest drivers Gigabyte offers
    -Updated Crucial MX100 Firmware
-Changed SATA cables between each other
    -Reseted the BIOS
    -Full round with Memtest86+
-Changing advanced power settings (e.g. so that hard drive goes to sleep after 500 minutes etc)

i have installed BlueScreenView, CrystalDiskInfo and WhoCrashed and here's the minidump files and copy/pasted data from the CrystalDisk and WhoCrashed if it helps:

I've spent dozens of hours with this trying to fix this so I'm quite frustrated with this machine. It would be more than appreciated if somebody could look at the files and give some kind of hints.

    Regards,
    -S

The versatility of the bugcheck codes and the probable causes gives an impression that there is a deep level of corruption, the most probable victim is the memory. In the original post you said ....
What I have done so far to fix these issues:

    -Full round with Memtest86+
Can you do it once again please? Asking for it, because that is really needed, and at the first place of the troubleshooting.

Test your RAM modules for possible errors.Run memtest86+ for at least 8 consecutive passes.

If it start showing errors/red lines, stop testing. A single error is enough to determine that something is going bad there.

Let us know the result. A camera snap of the memtest86+ screen before you close teh program would be the best reporting.

    EDIT: What does it mean?
What I have done so far to fix these issues:
    -
    -Updated BIOS to the newest
    -
    -Reseted the BIOS
You updated the BIOS and then downdated it again? Asking, because it is not the newest BIOS that you have.
    Code:
    BiosVersion = F5
    BiosReleaseDate = 11/05/2014
    The newest one is F7. GIGABYTE - Motherboard - Socket 1150 - GA-H97N-WIFI (rev. 1.1)

    Thank you for your reply.

I suppose last time I was visiting my family and fixing this was somewhere in Christmas when I updated the F5 version and back then it didn't help. Yes, apparently there has been released newer versions after that. Also, I just noticed I've been downloading the drivers from Gigabyte website rev. 1.0. page instead of rev. 1.1. but how much does it matter?

I was thinking of this BIOS reset whether it resets it to default version. I've been resetting the BIOS by touching the specific pins with a metal object and I think it worked since sometimes this helped to the slow boot issue, it didn't go anymore to DualBios, for a while... It didn't downgrade the BIOS back to F2 which is the default version iirc.

I've tried few times to take the RAM sticks/modules off but the motherboard isn't that well designed, the locking clips are located only on one side of the RAM slots and thus the RAM modules can be lifted only on one side without using too much force->RAM sticks tilted and got stuck. I've tried to lift the other side at the same time and then the motherboard bent a little bit which made me stop.

I will run again the memtest86+ and I will get back to you and report in the morning.

    Not really.

Seeing such a thing for the first time, though.

I've tried to lift the other side at the same time and then the motherboard bent a little bit which made me stop.
Is the motherboard physically bent? That may be the an enough ground for such a BSOD.

I think I need to consult with essenbe for this issue. I will request him to have a look at this thread.

Yeah, the RAM slot locking is a bit weird to me.

I suppose that MOBO should be fine since these issues have existed from the beginning and I was extremely careful when assembling the components together. I've heard people having issues with this Crucial MX100 SSD but not sure if it's the case here.

Hello, Jampaque, I will try to help. I need you to do something for me first. I need the system specs in as much detail as possible along with Manufacturer and Model. Please include the PSU also. I take it, you are using the stock Intel cooler. This may help you, if you need it.

Please fill out your System Specs

       Information
Your System Specs will help us to help you, and doing it in this manner will make them available to all helpers in every post and keep us from hunting for them. We ask that you fill them out in as much detail as possible including Desktop or Laptop, Model number if it is an OEM computer and all components with the Manufacturer and Model number if possible.

If you will go to your last post and click the 'System Specs' in the bottom left of the post, you will find a link to update your system specs. Please fill those out in as much detail as possible, making sure to click save at the bottom of the page. If you would like to know what we would like, you can click 'My System Specs' at the bottom left of this post to see mine. If you do not know what your components are, this will help you accomplish this task. System Info - See Your System Specs

As far as the ram clips on the Dimm Slots, that is pretty common now. It does sometimes require a little finesse.

Please open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.

Also, please look at your Windows Updates and check the update history. See how many updates failed and see if those updates were installed successfully later. Would you also go into the BIOS and tell me what the values are for the +12V, +5V and +3.3v. Also, please look at your sata controller and see what it is set to. I believe you mentioned AHCI earlier. Please set optimized defaults, set your sata controller to what it is right now, make sure your ram timings, frequency and Dram Voltage are set to Manufacturer's Specs, set your boot order, save and exit.

I see that Arc already has asked you to run memtest86+. From briefly looking at some of the dump files, I believe that is in order. These are the instructions I usually give, if you need them. But, as Arc said, it is important that you run at least 8 passes to completely test the ram. More passes are better. If you get any errors, you can stop the test.

    Please Run Memtest86+

       Information
Please download from this site only http://www.memtest.org/ in the middle of the page are the Download links, you can download the ISO.zip or the Auto USB Flash Drive installer.zip

Extract the Zip file. If you chose the ISO image, burn it to a CD using Windows Disk Image Burner or any Image burner you may have. If you downloaded the Auto USB installer, extract it, insert your USB 2.0 Flash Drive and take note of the drive letter. Run the installer, select the Flash Drive Letter, check the format box and press next. It will install memtest86+ to a flash drive. You can use either V4.20 or V5.01. Boot from your selected media. If you use V5.01 it will tell you to press certain buttons at the start, please press no buttons. The test will begin on it's own and continue to run until you stop it. It needs to run for 8 complete passes or until you receive an error. If you receive an error, stop the test. Even 1 error is a fail. Each pass tests a different part of the ram and each of the 10 tests in each pass tests something different. It takes a minimum of 8 passes to completely test the ram, more passes are better. It is quite a long test and will take several hours depending on how much ram you have. Due to the time length it is best to run overnight. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to ask.

If you have any questions or just don't understand anything, don't hesitate to ask.

    Hi essenbe!

I mentioned the specs in the original post but i just updated them to my profile and list them here also. Atm I cannot access to internet with the PC which has these issues and I'm using a Mac instead.
Cpu: intel i5 4460 with stock cooler
    Gpu: none
    Mobo: Gigabyte H97n-WIFI
RAM: Kingston hyperX black 2x4gb 1600mhz
    PSU: Seasonic G-550w semi-modular
Storage: Crucial mx100 256gb SSD, WD blue 1tb HDD
Win7 ultimate 64bit installed on SSD

I ran the memtest86+ overnight and got consecutive 8 passes, no errors there.

I ran sfc /scannow for three times after two boots and it found a file which couldn't be repaired: CBS.log file located in windir/Logs/CBS/CBS.log. You can find it as a zipped attachment! I had a peek on it and found plenty of failure lines.

Also, these optional updates failed to install and weren't installed afterwards:
Update for Microsoft Security Essentials: KB2310138 (definition 1.197.676.0) AND KB 2310138(definition 1.195.2398.0)

SATA is set to AHCI, hot plug disabled
    RAM timing auto
    DRAM Voltage 1,5v

Could you please specify where can I find the values for +12V, +5V and +3.3v?

Thanks for the information. I have asked someone to come look at the CBS file you uploaded.

As far as the voltages, I am not familiar with your board, but they usually have a section in bios named Hardware monitor or something similar. It can usually be found where it shows things like fan speeds, temps and such.
