    BSOD mostly watching videos

    Hello

It's been happening over the last few weeks, usually once every 3-4 days.Today, it happened twice. I've tried identifying the problem through WhoCrashed, but it's come to my attention it can be somewhat inaccurate. I've also tried the good old format approach, to no avail. What I've noticed is that the errors are often memory-related and since my laptop is a bit old, it could be due to a defective memory stick, but I'd like the opinion of someone more experienced before proceeding to replace hardware.

I'm attaching the DM collector file. The last BSOD created a MEMORY.dmp file which is too large to post here (150 MB, ~35 MB after zipping).

If you need further information, let me know.

    Thanks in advance

Install Service pack 1 and all other windows updates. Otherwise the system will remain vulnerable to threats including BSODs.
    Code:
Windows 7 Kernel Version 7600 MP (2 procs) Free x86 compatible
    Product: WinNt, suite: TerminalServer SingleUserTS
    Built by: 7600.17795.x86fre.win7_gdr.150318-1623

Report us for any further BSOD after installing Service pack 1.

I did install Service pack 1 and some other updates through Windows Update. Service pack does NOT show in my Computer Properties, even though the installation must have been succesful.

I will wait a few days and post accordingly. Thanks for the quick response!

So, today I tried watching a few videos again. A few seconds after I went to fullscreen, I got a DRIVER_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL BSOD. Before that, I watched a few with my laptop running on a lower power state and not on fullscreen, and flash player crashed twice.

I'm attaching the .dmp file as well as a screenshot of my computer properties. It's not in English, but it appears as if the Service Pack 1 isn't installed, even though the installation seemed to have been complete with no errors.

EDIT: I tried reinstalling the Service Pack by itself and it worked. Sorry for the multiple posts, will try again

I cannot read the screenshot, because I dont know the language. But The dump that you uploaded states it clearly that service pack 1 is not installed.

Because the windows installation is a counterfeit one.
    Code:
    €¤˜š¤à¨ ©« ¡æ §¨¦ä椫¦ª: 00426-OEM-8992662-00006
    †£œ¨¦£ž¤å˜ ˜¨® ¡ãª œš¡˜«á©«˜©žª: 1/6/2015, 9:42:58 ££
    𨘠œ¡¡å¤ž©žª ©¬©«ã£˜«¦ª: 7/6/2015, 3:59:29 §£
    ‰˜«˜©¡œ¬˜©«ãª ©¬©«ã£˜«¦ª: Sony Corporation
A OEM license of HP is valid on HP branded computers only, not on Sony.

As long as a counterfeit windows installation will be there, you can expect any sort of BSODs which will be beyond troubleshooting by the own virtue of a counterfeit install.

I see. Thank you for your time.

For the record, I did manage to install the service pack. I don't whether that is possible on counterfeit windows installations or not. Anyway, today my I got an error right after I turned on my laptop, a memory-related error. I'm guessing that, in the end, it's a hardware issue.

Again, thank your for your help.
