BSOD when playing or browsing while downloading (0x000000d1)

    Hello everyone,

I have been facing this BSOD ever since I built my computer. It used to occur once a week. Now it occurs more than once per week. I noticed that it always happen when I am doing something "heavy" while downloading something on Steam or uTorrent. By "heavy" I mean playing video games or browsing Chrome with multiple tabs and watching YouTube.

The following BSOD information were obtained from BlueScreenView
    Dump file: 062515-17565-01.dmp

    Parameter 1: 00000000`00000331
    Parameter 2: 00000000`00000002
    Parameter 3: 00000000`00000001
    Parameter 4: fffff880`078fa76e

File Description: Realtek RTL8192C USB NDIS Driver
Product Name: Realtek RTL8192C Wireless USB 2.0 Adapter

File Version: 1006.0.0614.2010 built by: WinDDK
    Processor: x64
    Crash Address: ntoskrnl.exe+748c0
Based on other threads and solutions from other websites, I have done the following:-
    • Updating BIOS
    • Updated all drivers, including my wireless adapter.
    • Reinstalled windows
    • Ran a hard drive check and a "MemTest". No issues
    • Uninstalled and reinstalled my wireless adapter driver

My system specs are all available in my profile.

Based on your posting instructions, I have attached the file to this post. I have also attached more information from BlueScreenView.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

It is ENCORE ENUWI-2XN4x Wireless USB Adapter (RTL8192CU) that is causing the BSOD.
    Code:
    BugCheck D1, {331, 2, 1, fffff880078fa76e}

*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for RTL8192cu.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for RTL8192cu.sys
    Probably caused by : RTL8192cu.sys ( RTL8192cu+8c76e )

    Followup: MachineOwner
    ---------
    The driver is extremely old.
    Code:
        Image name: RTL8192cu.sys
        Timestamp: Tue Jun 15 15:27:44 2010 (4C174E98)
Though old, but an update is available in Realtek .....
Apply it. See how it goes. Let us know.

Thank you for your kind reply.

I honestly thought I updated it already. Looks like the one I installed from ENCORE website is outdated.

I have applied what you suggested. I will give this a week or two to see if the problem is permanently solved. I will mark this thread as solved during that time.

Thank you very much for your help.
