Got time to check things like volts ect. and it was all good, then I had time today to run memtest86+ and instantly threw errors a couple passes and trying each stick and slot later and I have 32GB to 24GB and one bad stick of RAM for RMA and a noticeably more stable system and no sound glitching and I could not get it to crash. So now will see if it goes down again but that might have been it "fingers crossed".

Thanks for all the help everyone.

Good to see it was something tangible Malcolm and I guess 12GB is ok to get by on for the time being

But it is a tedious job eh?
When you are replacing everything you might like to try this

    SLOT CLEANING

Now as for the slots toclean them use a strip of old credit card (or any card thin enough some arebetter than others ) about 1/2 inch wide nip the corners off one end - preferably round them offhold a piece of thin lint free cloth over theend dab on some form of alcohol - isopropyl alcohol (what we swab the skin withbefore an injection) is good and GENTLYswipe along the slots.

This can also be done for the GPU slot/s andalso the contacts of the sticks or cards - not the stick but some lint freecloth of course. See my pic for the sick but please be very gentle doing it ifyou are in any doubt - please ask before doing it but I use this all the timeand have yet to damage anything

Lol, the slots were pristine as the machine had apparently had a bad mobo before I was brought in and they had done a whole swap. This one is not even 2 months old. Great info though and has been put in the info folder for reference. :)
