Well, I felt assured of it's quality and went with it. It seems to have worked fine (I'm doing a clean install of the Nvidia drivers now, sans GeForce Experience!), except that I think I borked my 1TB hard drive by deleting its partitions and formatting it. Is there a way to recover it?

Are you talking about the drive itself or the data on it? If the drive itself, you didn't hurt it by deleting partitions and formatting. That's a common everyday thing for a hard drive.

You can try this, but check the MD5 Index of /Windows 7/Eng

KK, thanks! But no, I'm talking about the drive itself. I was aware that all the data would be erased and expected as much. But now the drive doesn't appear on my Windows Explorer menu, like it somehow got detached during the process.

Go do disk management and see if you see it there. If so, I suspect it doesn't have a drive letter. Right click it, select 'change drive letter or path', next window select new, then give it a drive letter. See if that works. Windows can't "see" a drive with no drive letter.

But what you did will not cause damage to the drive.

Okay; yes, I see it in Disk Management labeled as Disc 0. When I right click it though, I just get options like "Convert to Dynamic Disk; Convert to GPT Disk; Properties; Help" and then "New Spanned Volume; New Striped Volume" are greyed out. Also, it says the disc space is "Unallocated." Am I not right clicking in the right spot?

The disk is empty, isn't it? if so, can you delete the volume, then create new simple volume?

Okay, sorry; yeah, I forgot to install the drivers first but now the "New simple volume" option appears. Got it fixed!

Yeah, right now I'm just trying to troubleshoot why the Get Windows 10 App update wont download/install. >.< You wouldn't happen to know a good board to post about that on, would you?
