    BSOD whilst playing World of Tanks caused by atikmpag.sys

    Hi been getting frequent random BSODs whilst playing world of tanks. Each time the problems seems to be caused by atikmpag.sys. I have tried uninstalling and installing the most recent drivers but got another BSOD as soon as I tried to play the game again.

    All of the dumps are 0x116 VIDEO_TDR_ERROR (Timeout Detection Recovery) which can be down to the driver, heat, power to the card, the PCI slot it's in or a bad card among other things. Your driver isn't the most recent from what I can see so we'll try that first.

    Download the latest driver from here and save it to your desktop. Download DDU and follow Display Driver Uninstaller: How to use to remove all traces of your current driver. Reboot and install the downloaded driver.
    Code:
    BugCheck 116, {fffffa800b9ec060, fffff88004308848, 0, 2}

    Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\atikmpag.sys, Win32 error 0n2

    Try that and report back, upload new logs if you receive any more BSODs.

    Hi Boozad, thanks for the quick response :)

    I am having problems with DDU I have downloaded it but, when I try to extract the 7-zip file to my desktop the files do not appear on my desktop. I have tried it a couple of times and the second time it even asked me if I wanted to replace files. Not really sure what the problem is here, any suggestions?

    On another note I did remove the drivers through control panel, then reinstalled the most recent ones before I made my first post.

    Hi I managed to get DDU to work and have now reinstalled the latest drivers. If I don't have any more problems over the next couple of days then I will mark this thread as solved.

    I'm glad to hear all's working well. Sorry I didn't get back to you earlier when DDU wasn't working well but then saw you had worked around that. If you have any more issues let us know.
