    Silly questions maybe but you're sure it's connected in the right socket and you haven't plugged the mic jack in instead? Both mistakes I've made in the past.

    I wish it was that but its plugged into the pink and green jack like its meant to be, realtek says both jacks are being used and thats whats confusing me, i must of done something either when uninstalling the GPU driver or removing the GPU itself

    That looks like a fan header cable. Can you trace where the other end runs to?

    Yeah it leads back to a connected on the case named FAN, but all the fans that are actually on the case all work?

    If they're all running fine then you can just remove it if you like mate.
