New MOBO/CPU 0x0000124 on old and new Win7
Switched from
Current Hardware
- ASUS Sabertooth 990FX to ASUS Z97-A
- AMD Phenom X6 1100T to i5-4690K
- Zalman CPU cooler to NZXT Kraken X61
Tried to boot up and got to the desktop which almost immediately crashed with 0x0000124. Unhooked and reset parts. No change.
- G.Skill Ripjaws (2x8GB)
- Antec 900W PSU
- Samsung EVO 840 120GB SSD
- WD Green and Black (2TB and 7450 GB respectively)
- Corsair Carbide Air 540 Case
Reinstalled Win7 to fresh copy. Took a couple attempts but installed and got to desktop (currently on it).
It's been running now about ten minutes and I was able to install CPUID HWMonitor. I had removed and reinstalled everything; Tried alternating memory sticks in different configurations and different ports, moved EVGA 770 GTX to alternating slots, tried using on-board GPU, changed around SATA lines, removed and reinstalled all HDDs and OS SSD. I used the stock thermal paste on the X61 and this morning was starting to think it was a CPU temps. So, now I am monitoring them to see what happens (Averaging around 41C).
EDIT: Crashed trying download nVidia and Chipset drivers, temps seemed normal.
EDIT 2: Cannot install nVidia drivers. Upon reboot got message "There was a problem starting NVCPL.DLL NVCPL.DLL is not a valid Win32 application."
If someone could analyze the attached BSOD dumps that would swell and I will profess my undying love.
