BSOD Windows Update error 0x80070003

    I undertook a clean reinstall of Windows and this has solved the problem.
    No more BSOD when I run Windows Updates.
    No idea why.

    Probably a corrupt Windows installation, an corrupt Windows Update update or a corrupt recovery drive.
