Try getting rid of Norton,

It's getting flagged as the cause,

Code:
Unable to load image \SystemRoot\system32\DRIVERS\SymIMv.sys, Win32 error 0n2
*** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for SymIMv.sys
*** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for SymIMv.sys
 SymIMv+0x7900
Use the uninstall tool,

https://support.norton.com/sp/en/us/...rProfile_en_us

Install MSE for now,

Microsoft Security Essentials - Microsoft Windows

Or just use defender if you are upgrading to 10.

can't login to an account, brings back to the login screen
when I try to login to either of the accounts, it flashed for a second and then goes back to the login screen. I did an offline defender scan and remove a few adware, but I don't think they were the cause. Is there any way I could monitor the login process and see what's failing.
