    Wither 3 LiveKernel Crashes

    I keep getting kernel failures in Witcher ... I wanna have this kernel court-martialed. Screen just goes black...no BSOD, have to end program in TM and restart.

    Hey there!
    Code:
    BugCheck 117, {fffffa801539c4e0, fffff88004c2a19c, 0, 0}

    Unable to load image nvlddmkm.sys, Win32 error 0n2
    *** WARNING: Unable to verify timestamp for nvlddmkm.sys
    *** ERROR: Module load completed but symbols could not be loaded for nvlddmkm.sys
    Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+16219c )
    The problem is caused by your graphics driver. Run Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU)
    Make sure you tick the Uninstall C:/AMD and C:/NIVIDA folders while you are in DDU when you are done running DDU install your graphics driver again and you should be good to go! This is the guide for DDU: Display Driver Uninstaller: How to use

    I removed the display drivers, cleaned the registry manually and reinstalled before posting.....wouldn't have posted otherwise. The problem is specific to Witcher 3 .... box gets used daily as a CAD workstation as well as file server. I the evenings, my son uses it for his flight sims, gaming and occasionally, I will even get to play now and then. The problem is specific to Wither 3. No other game or GFX stress test utility is able to duplicate the issue.

    I have since uninstalled the AutoDesk Content Service and things have improved. ot completely eliminated but at least now it's a rare occurrence.

    Hm, have you tried re-installing Witcher 3?

    1st thing I did.... since it happened right after installing. In my experience, nvlddmkm.sys problems are never solved by reinstalls, but did it anyway just to get it out of the way. Usually a windows timeout issue, a game that can't handle an OC or just something poorly coded like BF4. This was my first foray into Windows kernel being involved.

    That's not true, i've seen many people solving nvlddmkm.sys by using DDU. It's not the kernel as it only occurs in Witcher 3. Have you OC:ed then?
