BSOD When Launching certain applications, Error code 0x0000007A
Hey all.
Recently, my laptop got its first BSOD, which happened when I was switching channels in KvIRC (An IRC client). After I rebooted, the entire folder containing KvIRC was deleted, so I guess there was something with the contents that windows disagreed with.
After that, I tried opening up Steam (the video game platform), but my laptop straight away froze, crashed, and brought me to the blue screen. As far as I can tell, all steam-related files are still in place. The only recent hardware/software change to my laptop is the removal of my CD Drive. Software-wise, nothing has been installed/uninstalled in a few weeks.
After searching around for a bit, I came to a couple of threads which advised of doing a sfc /scannow, however I got the message that "Windows Resource Protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them", and I'm unable to determine which files need fixing.
I ran antivirus scans with ESET NOD32, Malwarebytes and Hitmanpro, all resulting in 0 detections.
I tried recreating the BSOD instance, and as thought, launching steam caused another BSOD, except this time it was delayed, by 30 minutes. My laptop has been running for 12 hours now (I didn't try launch steam again), and so far, so good.
Thank you in advance for any help you can provide me :)
EDIT: I've included the SFCdetails.txt in the attachments, in case this can help anyone determine what's going wrong.
