    BSOD playing Rocket League, error 0x00000116

    Not sure why it is happening but I am randomly getting instant shutdowns when playing games. Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Hiya and welcome to SevenForums!
    Code:
    BugCheck 116, {fffffa8014aa1220, fffff88005120af8, ffffffffc000009a, 4}

    Probably caused by : nvlddmkm.sys ( nvlddmkm+83aaf8 )
    The problem is caused by your graphics driver. Run Display Driver Uninstaller(DDU)
    Make sure you tick the Uninstall C:/AMD and C:/NIVIDA folders while you are in DDU when you are done running DDU install your graphics driver again and you should be good to go! This is the guide for DDU: Display Driver Uninstaller: How to use

    I have come to realize this is being caused by me bumping my computer case. I am also getting random screen flashes, like static on a TV flashing in the middle of the screen. I re-seated the GFX card and still happens. I will re-install the graphic driver as you have suggested as well but I am starting to think it may be a hardware issue, not software drivers.

    I think that aswell, but we will see after re-installing the driver.

    Re-installing the drivers did not correct the issue. Am I going to need a new GFX card? Another thing I have noticed is the power supply makes a whizzing noise when it gets hot, is it possible the PS is going out?

    Hmm, the PSU might be failing, can you try to borrow a friends PSU and check?
