    0x7B BSOD after power failure

My laptop was out of battery a few days ago so I plugged it in and started it up. The power plug slides out of the computer easily, and sure enough as I was moving it around I knocked it out and the laptop immediately died during the powerup sequence. Upon restart, the machine now immediately BSODs when the Windows boot sequence starts. Full error sequence:

    0x7b (0xffff880009a9928, 0xffffffffc0000034, 0x0, 0x0)

I have run chkdsk and Dell's equivalent of SeaTools, which indicate no errors on the drive. I've also run the system recovery tool three times, which indicates an unknown error that it can't fix. I've tried recreating the MBR, but bootrec /scanos indicates that no installations of Windows can be found (which matches the c0000034 error code), even though I can see and access files on the HDD just fine. I've also verified that the HDD bootup mode in the BIOS is still set to AHCI.

I'm banging my head against the wall in frustration, as it seems like it's an MBR problem but the usual tricks aren't working. Any ideas?
