Hello and welcome Brian mate there is a dump showing a problem with your graphics and the suggested fix is to uninstall the Catalyst Control Centre and install only the device driver ie the GPU you have

Ok then, I tried to uninstall the Catalyst Control Centre, but couldn't find it in the Change Programs/Features section of the Control Panel, nor could I find anything related to ATI/AMD in there. So after searching the Internet, one of the solutions to uninstall ATI products is to download DDU(Display Driver Uninstaller). So I ran that, had it clean ATI/AMD from the computer in Safe Mode. Rebooted it back up, plugged in my External Hard Drive and.......got another BSOD. Was there a step I missed? Is the Catalyst Control Centre still on my laptop?

I probably should've mentioned this in my previous post, but when I ran the DDU and it cleaned all the AMD/ATI drivers, I wounded up w/no sound. It said I didn't even have sound card installed and there wasn't even the "Sound, video, and games controller" tab listed in the Device Manager. I kinda panicked, but I did preform a System Restore to the point right before the cleaning. So I guess I'm back to square 1. I still can't find the ATI Install Manager to get the Catalyst Control Center uninstalled. And in the article you posted, there isn't even a ccc.exe in the tasks. Do you know of another way to get it off my computer?

Ok Brian now I need the model number of your machine so I can check the specs and drivers for it.

Getting rid of the CCC is or should be a fairly simple thing to do ie from Control Panel but as you say it isn't there so it isn't an option.

Have a look at this it might be of help otherwise it means looking ion the registry -a last resort for me but is efficient How-To Uninstall AMD Catalyst Drivers From A Windows Based System

The model number would be VM116UA#ABA. And the help page was the first one I went to. LOL

A lot had the solution of using the Install Manager, and when I couldn't find it, I started seeing if there were other means. I'd also just like to say thank you for taking time out of your day in assisting me to find a solution for this problem. It really is greatly appreciated.

No probs mate too much noise here to be able to sleep out here right now.

Ok your machine is a HP G71-347CL that number is just the product number but no matter at least w have access to details of the device. http://support.hp.com/au-en/document/c01890514 - this is an Australian site but I am guessing to would not be too hard to find the site for you by Googling that model number for the US. But I don't think it will be much different.

I can't find the drivers for this machine as the site is asking me to install new software to carry on so maybe you might have a look. I am asking because this machine is a HP laptop and I rather not do that and perhaps mess this one up.

So I shall await what happens when you try that site for drivers in particular the graphics one.

Ok Brian now I think the Intel driver will be needed and I am to be honest wondering why the NVidia is being needed because unless one has one of those dual GPU set ups in laptops they are usually just run from the inbuilt one ie the Intel graphics.
Plus there is no mention of NVidia in those dump files that I can find. It could possibly be that they are quoted for another version of that machine.

The driver for the Intel chipset should be suffice so can you get that after finding those results form HP because again to access it myself that software has to be installed and the Intel sit e is a real tangle of references.

An option would be to run SlimDrivers https://www.slimwareutilities.com/slimdrivers.php now the free version is areal nagger and I usually install it and then uninstall it when I am done. Oh and he drivers with the free you have to do one by one but as you only need the chipset - no problems.

Let us know what you get.
