Did you run the sfc /scannow? If so, what were the results? If not, open an elevated command prompt ( click start, type cmd in the search box, right click on the cmd entry and select run as administrator) in the black box that opens, copy/paste sfc /scannow. If you decide to type it, notice the space between the sfc and the /. It is a system file checker which will scan your system files and attempt to correct any missing or corrupt files. What we want are the results to say windows found no integrity violations. If it says files were found but could not be repaired, close the box, reboot and run it again, after opening the administrative command prompt. You may have to reboot and run it three times for it to repair all system files. If it can't repair them after 3 reboots, let us know.
And when you have time, please upload the BSOD Posting Instructions https://www.sevenforums.com/bsod-help-support/96879-blue-screen-death-bsod-posting-instructions.html. Upload the files here, this will tell you how. https://www.sevenforums.com/tutorials/9733-screenshots-files-upload-post-seven-forums.html
Hi essenbe, thanks for all your help so far.
1. See attached the DM crash tool zip.
2. I ran sfc /scannow as administrator. As you can see in the screen snip PNG, it found 100% verification with no reboot necessary.
There is another thing I thought might have something to do with this: the laptop is encrypted with McAfee encryption.
I would suggest you unencrypt the files and uninstall McAfee, this can tell you how after removing it from control panel. How to uninstall or re-install supported McAfee products using the Consumer Products Removal tool. This is the latest dump file
The rest of them said aCode:Use !analyze -v to get detailed debugging information. BugCheck 24, {1904fb, fffff8800cb21f68, fffff8800cb217c0, fffff880013409b0} Probably caused by : memory_corruption Followup: memory_corruption
The rest said a corrupted file.
Well, the only way for me to get it decrypted was to bring it into work and leave it for 2 days, starting Monday, so I said screw it and did a clean install.
I only have a few drivers installed, but I'm already getting f4 BSODs. I enabled minidumps after two of them; when I was about to post here I got another one. I'm putting up both of the zip files;
1. is before the last BSOD and from a regular boot
2. is after the last BSOD and from safe mode.
Thanks again for all your help.
both dumps were the same

Is it possible it's looking at a homegroup drive and having a problem?
https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/lib...=vs.85%29.aspx says FILE_CHARACTERISTIC_CSV is a 'cluster shared volume' rather than a comma-separated value file. The reason I ask is that I don't think the laptop's shared anything - are all storage devices cluster shared volumes?
It also says it is a Plug and play device, a Web DAV device, and a removable device. WebDAV - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/WebDAV I have no idea what it is unless you have a NAS or some other server type device.
