Yes, you should stop the test if the GPU gets too hot.
But that might indicate a cooling problem.

Do you know the general temperature of too hot?

    Please download and install Speccy.
When installed and opened, click 'file' in the upper corner left and click 'save snapshot'.
    Please post the snapshot.

Please try to remove and reseat the GPU properly.

Cut off the power of your computer and press the on/off button a few times a few seconds so there is no power in the computer anymore.
Make sure you have grounded yourself BEFORE opening your computer to prevent any damage to the components.
Open the case, take the GPU carefully out and put it properly back in.

It is of course a little more detailed then I write and I need the specs of your pc (instead of your laptop) to help you better.
But globally is this pretty much it of what you have to do to reseat the GPU, as far as I know.

Alright, thank you for the system specs.

This might be a little bit more difficult, because you have 2 GPU's of AMD and we do not know if both or if only 1, which of the 2 is causing it.
Please try to disable a GPU and see what happens.
