BSOD shortly after Power On - All works fine after restart

Hi guys,

I will try to be as fast as possible while giving all relevant information:

- Had this pc for 5 years, and it always worked fine.
- CPU Temperatures are around 38 idle - ~72 full load- Recently updated Win 7 to Win 10, then the trouble began to happen:
Blue screen each day at the first startup, a couple of minutes after reaching windows.
After restarting all works great, no more blue screen, no failure in benchmark software, etc.
It can happen in the same day if I leave the PC powered off for more than a couple of hours (~2 hrs min)

I tried the following:
- 12 hours of memtest => 0 Errors found
- Reinstalled windows 7 => BSOD occur next day (after also applying updates)
- Updated drivers to the best of my knowledge (from Asus website and from Device Manager -> Search for driver online) => didnt change anything.
- Removed ram pieces, wiped the dust of MB and ram pieces, re-adjusted ram pieces
- Checked all cable connections inside the case
- Extensive Prime 95 benchmarking => no failure
- Used old, guaranteed to work, GPU driver => still BSOD under same conditions
- Increased / Decreased voltages of CPU and Ram => BSOD when too low voltage (of course) and same symptoms when enough voltage
- Changed the BIOS battery => changed nothing
- Approached VooDoo techniques in a shy yet optimistically manner => no help

The error codes of the BSOD are always different so I dont know what to make of this.
Any ideas or similar problems?

First of all thanks for your help.

Sorry for the late reply, I've been kind of busy the last days but in between I managed to do the following:

- Run memtest (version 5.1, latest afaik) for 12 hours overnight and in the morning 0 errors but only 4 passes completed and a white text message in the lower part of the screen saying "Test complete, press ESC to exit". This was with SPM disabled - I just booted from usb and let it do its job. So I figured that only 4 passes were completed because of SMP (multi core cpu optimisations) were disabled so I:
- Ran memtest (version 5.1) for 12 hours the next night with SMP enabled; same result: Zero errors, but test completed after 4 passes.

Apart from that also uninstalled any Asus software like you suggested.
And also checked a couple of times for any windows updates (from within windows) but the only available updates are either optional, more specifically the language packs, or an upgrade to Windows 10. Screw you, windows 10 (for now)!
The Seagate HDD tool reported no errors for Short Generic, Basic Test and SMART check. Ran it for my ssd as well...don't judge me ^^!
Also ran chkdsk on C scheduled for after a restart ofc, no errors / problems.

Atm I set all voltages / settings to Auto and it seems stable upon booting after a couple of hours of power off. Fingers crossed but I kinda doubt that the problem has gone away.

Sorry for the late reply, was a bit busy lately.
Updates:

- Ran Seatools long generic test it came out as "passed" even if the progress bar stopped at 99%. Is that normal?
- With everything set on Auto on BIOS I still get blue screens, but more random; every couple of hours. I suspect might be due to the wrong voltages set by the Auto setup; thing which got me to override the setting in the first place.

But anyways, I'm attaching the update logs and I'm looking forward to your instructions :)
