BSOD When playing intensive video games, Error 0x00000116 and 0x000000

Hi, I'm having trouble as to what's causing these BSOD's on my computer and how I can fix it.

One of the main things that I've noticed happening that seems to be different is that almost every time that my computer crashes, my video card gets "Error Code 43: Windows has stopped this device because it has reported problems" and I have to uninstall and reinstall my video card drivers to fix it.

Other than that, I'm somewhat of a novice when it comes to BSOD's and I have a hard time seeing what the problem is. Help would be much appreciated.

    Hi TheWolffe,

    Welcome to the 7forums.

The 0x116(VIDEO_TDR_FAILURE) is related to the graphics card and the 0x1E(KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED) is also being caused by the graphical drivers.

Please uninstall everything of Nvidia using Display Driver Uninstaller, install new drivers from Nvidia and see how it goes.

I uninstalled everything from Nvidia, but I'm still getting the problem. I feel like it might be an overheating issue but if still not sure yet.

Please note the GPU temperature when idle and under load and post them.

    Diagnostic test

     GPU TEST

Run Furmark to test your GPU. Furmark tutorial

       Note
Run Furmark for around 30 minutes

       Warning
Your GPU temperatures will rise quickly while Furmark is running. Keep a keen eye on them and abort the test if temperatures rise too high

My GPU temperatures reached 73C after about 3 minutes before I decided to abort the test. Is 73C too high?

Not at all, your GPU could go up to around 90C for a period time without overheating.
The limit for your GPU would be 95-97C for a short period.

Then that doesn't seem to be the problem. Unfortunately, I still crash while playing video games. Any other possible solutions?

I had a maximum temperature of 90C under load and about 60C while idle.

Please cleanup any dust inside the case and run furmark again.
This time, abort the test when temps are reaching around 85C for safety of your hardware.
