    I did download the bios (A15) and tried to install it but it says - cant flash the same version of bios. Do I have to install it using usb at startup. I didnt try that though.

    I seem to have some documents missing from my system too which happened around the time i tried the windows 10 upgrade.

    There are no more recent BIOS versions?

    What kind of documents do you mean exactly?

    There is just one bios version available (A15) on their website.

    I lost some word and pdf documents. Actually the folders themselves went missing.

    I have the original cds and backup cds that came with the laptop. Are they of any use?

    Possibly, if they contain drivers / diagnostics tests.

    Basic diagnostic tests. Such as lcd, memory, video, audio etc

    i also noticed that in dxdiag the bios version and date is different from that shown in system information.

    Start with running video tests.

    Please save the data of dxdiag and upload the saved file.
