BSOD browsing and playing, error 0x0000004e (0x099)
Hello everyone, I'm new to this site and I hope you can help me.
Like the title says, I've been getting BSODs with PFN_LIST_CORRUPT error 0x0000004e (0x000000000099). The last one was in ntoskrnl.exe and rassstp.sys (at least that's what is in red in BlueScreenViewer). I have attached the minidump file and the DM Log colletor from the BSOD Posting Instructions. If there is anything else needed please tell me and I'll try to upload it. My system specs are at my profile I think. Thank you all in advace and I really hope you can help me. PD: I don't know much about computers so I can't do anything really complicated unless you tell me how to, so please provide a step by step guide ifyou can, if it's much trouble I will just look it up on google and do my best. Also, English isn't my first language, so sorry for any mistakes. |

Hi DeJong02,
Welcome to the 7forums. Daemon tools, Alcohol 120% and Power Archiver Pro uses SCSI Pass Through Direct (SPTD), which is a well known cause for BSOD's. Please remove Daemon Tools and run the SPTD pass through remover.
![]() If the button is grayed out, like in the image, there is no more SPTD installation on your system, and you can close the window. |

Thanks for replying axe0.
I uninstalled Daemon Tools and did that thing with the program, but I just had another BSOD. This time BlueScreenViewer marks RDPCDD.sys in red instead of rassstp.sys, but ntoskrnl.exe is still red. I am attaching another minidump just in case this one is different. |

I was afraid another crash would happen, but I hoped so much that Daemon tools was causing it.
The driver likely causing the problem isn't flagged in the newest dump file, but is flagged in the dump from 5 days ago. Please check Atheros or Qualcomm for driver updates for the TP-Link Wifi adapter. Code:

I couldn't find my product on either of those websies. (Model No. TL-WN881ND) Should I download the driver from TP-Link's site? Download for TL-WN881ND V1 - Bienvenido a TP-LINK

Try it yes, it looks like that driver is more updated.

Okay, so I haven't had any more BSOD since I updated my TP-Link drivers. I am going to mark this as solved.
Thank you very much axe0 ![]() |
