Diagnostics Test
Clean boot
Please try the following:
- Open taskmanager
- Go to the tab startup
- disable everything
- Search msconfig and open it
- Go to the tab services
- Check 'hide microsoft services'
- Uncheck all other services
- Click apply and click ok
- Reboot if asked
See if the problem persist, if the problem does not persist enable in the startup tab in taskmanager 1 item and in the services tab in msconfig also 1 service, reboot and see if the problem persist. Keep doing this until you find the culprit or there is nothing left.
If the problem still persist, try booting in safe mode and see if the problem still persist
The issue persists when disabling all startup programs and services, but not when booting in safe mode.
I have tried running task manager and cpu-z when unplugging, but everything freezes 2-3 seconds after unplugging. The mouse works for about 5 seconds (I can move it around the screen, but nothing is responding to clicking) and then everything is completly frozen.
I just removed and reinstalled the intel graphics driver and replaced the previous one from intels site with the one provided by dell and it seems to be working. I think the problem might not be in the driver itself but an automatic update or a config that happens after the first restart after the reinstall. I will report if something starts happening again.
Due to your system specs not correct I gave you wrong instructions.
I should have first verified your model, but I was and still am quite busy
With laptops, you should only install drivers from your manufacturer(Dell).
No problem :) My hunch was correct. After a restart the freezing started happening again.
