That is because the driver is installed everytime, try disabling the device.

I tried to disable it but every time after refresh it came back. So I updated other drivers and let's see how it goes. About the memory here is the specs:

    New module:

    KVR13N9S8/4 (99U5474-028.A00LF)

    Old one (from 4x4 kit)

    KVR1333D3N9K2/8G (99U5471-020.A00LF)

I guess for stability they are better to work single channel, cuz some memory even have problems workin on dual channel with the same kit on Phenom II architecture. Not fact just what I've read after years of using Phenoms. But with not the exact same modules I guess it's a no brainer to use them as single channel.

Except for their specs the modules are different.

I would suggest to remove the old module and get another module of the exact same make and model for the new module.
