BSOD while playing Rocket League (No error) - Artifacts
Hello, ealier today I experienced a BSOD while I was playing Rocket League on Steam.
My computer is an old Packard Bell EasyNote TJ75 laptop from 2009. It has been through a lot over the years, I even restored it to factory settings in July last year (Because it ran extremely slow - it was filled to the brink with unnessesary programs and games). After that I have mainly used it as a gaming-computer (Mostly Rocket League), and it ran fine until some days ago.
While playing Rocket League at a friends house, it suddenly froze in the middle of a game - there were vertical artifact-lines on the screen over the game (No error-message). It stayed that way until i decided to force-shutdown. There were no further problems that night. But today it happened again (in Rocket league).
My game froze and artifacts appeared like at my friends house. Before i could take a picture, the computer went BSOD. I did the force-shutdown again and launched the computer again - it ran fine.
I launched Rocket League and played a 1v1 with my friend, where it happened again about 3 minutes in (Freeze and instantly artifacts). I restarted, but when it started up there were artifacts everywhere and the computer didn't go into the boot-screen - the screen just stayed black (BSOD) after the artifacts.
I let it stand there, hoping for a windows-launch, but nothting happened. I tried several times, with the same result.
There after I waited a hour or two before launching again - here it worked fine and i'm now on my PC writing this. But i'm afraid of launching any game.
Personally I think it has something to do with my graphics card (ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650) - maybe overheating. But that's wierd, because i had just started the computer and the game when it happened.
I have filled out most of the computers specs in my information. Here it is:
- 286 GB, 4 GB RAM
- Intel Core i5-430M (2.27 GHz)
- 64bit, Windows 7 Home Premium
- My battery has not worked in about 1,5 years, therefore my computer often experiences shutdowns.
I have also created a ZIP-file with the "DM log collector", containing the .dmp-files (Which is attached to this post).
I would really appreciate any kind of advice or solution.
Also if anyone could find the problem from the .dmp-file, that would be a huge help!
Happy New Year!
NiceMike.
