Computer Randomly Restarts No BSOD or Minidump

    Hello again

My Computer does restart randomly this only occurs when playing games
problem is that BSOD doesn't show up nor is there any .Dmp file log generated

Yesterday i was checking this forum and came to the idea that it would be my HDD
I have fully run scandisk with both options selected to fix the HDD
    Ran Sea Tools for windows
and did windows system integrity check

But this didn't solve the problem
I have recently bought new ram, this has reduced the amount of random restarts but they still do happen

Can someone help me with this issue and tell me a reason why isn't there a BSOD showing up nor any DMP file log ?

    My PC setup is :

    CPU: Phenom II x6 1090T
    Mainboard : AsRock 3 Extreme 970
    Ram : 8GB DDR 3 (balisto)
    Graphics : AMD Radeon r7 200 Series
OS : Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit

    Hi Logo.

Can you still go through the BSOD posting instructions and post the necessary file(s)? Even without an actual BSOD, the information will be helpful.

In the meantime, sounds like you should go through Hardware Troubleshooting.

Sorry, i though it won't help anyway since there are DMP files on my cpu
Please ignore the DMP file from today as i forced it by closing crcss.exe in the task manager

Be aware that a sudden shutdown/restart does NOT create any dump file.
Only with a bluescreen a dump is generated.

What could be a possible reason for a sudden restart \frozen pc ?

in the event viewer log i have found kernel power error Id nr. 41

Kernel power error id 41 simply means a problem with the power, it happens with every system crash (shutdown, bluescreen, freeze) and isn't very useful.

Usually it is being caused by
    • a bad PSU,
    • wrong 3.3v, 5v or 12v values in the BIOS,
    • a circuit problem.

Sometimes it is also caused by
    • (corrupted) tasks in the task scheduler that says to shutdown/restart the system for some unknown reason,
    • power issue in a component (too much or less power),
    • overheating/overheated hardware where in the BIOS is defined to shutdown/restart the system after a certain temperature has been reached.
