Black screen crash with certain games

For avery long time now certain games cause my pc to crash to a black screen the sounds keeps playing and i can still use headsets if i was using it at that point but i have to force a reset everytime. Its alway the same games but im finding more and more at the moment some crash within a few mins others i can play for awhile. Some games have been fine then for no reason started to cause it then stoped i can run fallout 4 on max settings for hours but i cant play tourchlight 2 on lowest for more then 3mins. iv ran out of ideas. Its not overheating iv run furmark , prime95, played the games that cause it while keeping an eye on speedfan, reinstalling drivers and playing the games in every resolution in windowed and full screen. this is my next thing to see if i can get it sorted.

0x117 is a video-related error. Uninstall the existing video drivers, then reinstall the latest version of the driver ONLY. Do not install CCC.

If overclocking, reset all overclocks back to their default settings and then follow these:

Video - run the FURMARK test for 20mins
    Graphics Card Problems - Diagnose
Video Card - Stress Test with Furmark
