BSOD possibly from Nvidia nvlddmkm.sys Driver

Pulled the GTX 560TI out and put the older GTX 450 in my pc, and it seems to be running ok, no more BSOD on start, but I want to try some newer Nvidia drivers first.
I did notice that the 450 only has only PCI slot for my power supply to plug into, while my 560 had two....so maybe the power supply is still to blame, maybe it couldn't handle the bigger card anymore?

Anyway, I'll be looking to upgrade my GPU now, barring any further issues. Looking at getting a 960 or 970.

Everything seems to be working fine with the older 450 card for now. It turns out my brother had upgraded his to a 650 TI so this 450 isn't being used now, and he said I can have it. I'm going to wait for a sale to get a newer card.

Hey folks, been away from my pc for 6 months (out of state) and finally came back. Started getting display driver errors from the old 450 card after a few weeks, and decided it was time to finally replace the card.

Ordered a new GTX 1060 FTW card, which required me to get a new monitor with appropriated video input output connections, went with ASUS VG248.
Have been enjoying the new gear for about 3 days, then the computer started getting BlueScreen again after waking up from sleep mode. Has happened twice now in 24 hours, and I think its the same crashes I was getting before from the 560TI....thus I am assuming that the PSU is just too old and cannot handle the strain anymore. New card is only supposed to need 400w....

I am eyeing the EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2 as a replacement, but just wanted to check in and see your guys thoughts. Hopefully the motherboard is not also going bad, its not nearly as old, but I really didn't want to spend the money I have already as it is...

Hi folks, I'm still having intermittent issues with my computer. Since my last post I have installed the GTX 1060 FTW card and a new EVGA SuperNOVA 850 G2

I am mainly getting BSOD when waking the computer up from sleep mode. It seems to happen maybe once every week or so, sometimes more, for no apparent reason.

BSOD is still being caused by dxgkrnl.sys+5d1f0, although dxgmms1.sys+37f54 and nvlddmkm.sys+9584a0 are still flagged in red.

I ran Memtest for twelve hours about a week ago, and it detected no issues with my memory cards.

At this point only the motherboard cpu, hard drive, and memory have not been replaced, but I'm not sure which is the culprit. I would guess the memory would be most likely, but would like to hear your thoughts before I spend even more money on this damn issue.

I know I shouldn't resurrect old threads, but so far only one person has made any suggestions on the new thread. It is still the same issue; dxgkrnl.sys, dxgmms1.sys, and nvlddmkm.sys all in red with BlueScreenView.


Latest BSOD dump after upgrading to new memory and extensive and time consuming scans with Memtest86+. Had one instance of errors with old cards, but subsequent tests detected no errors.

Upgraded to 2x8gb cards from 2x4gb cards. No errors detected after scanning each card individually in separate slots, and then both together.

Computer occasionally freezes while waking up from sleep. The mouse and keyboard light up but do not respond, the monitor has no signal, then computer restarts with BSOD.
