Random BSOD possible indicative of other crashes I've been having

    Here's the full story:

I recently built my PC from brand new parts, listed below:

    • AMD FX6300 Black Edition 6 Cores CPU
    • Gigabyte 970-UD3P Motherboard
    • HyperX FURY Series (2x 8GB) DDR3 1866MHz
    • EVGA Nvidia 750Ti 1020MHz 2GB GPU
    • Samsung 250GB 850 EVO SSD
    • Corsair 750W Modular PSU
    • Windows 7 x64 Ultimate

The Windows 7 install went smoothly to the SSD with no blips or crashes.

However, I have experienced these symptoms since:

    • almost everyday when I start my PC, at "windows starting" (windows symbol) it crashes, either freezing or restarting itself. This happens usually 2 or 3 times before successful boot to windows. I should point out that this is usually only at the start of the day, rebooting in the middle of the day and it almost always boots fine.
    • Graphical artifacts on the screen with freeze. These happens pretty rarely, once every week or so. They can occure when booting the system or whilst using the system.
    • Freezing whilst leaving the system idle for a while. When I'm away from the PC for more than 20 minutes, sometimes I return to find it frozen.
    • BSODs - these are rare and can happening whilst booting the system or whilst using it. I've attached a minidump file if anyone can put it through WinDbg?

Here is what I have tried so far:

    • Reinstalled OS
    • Cloned OS to a HDD
    • RMA'd the GPU for a replacement
    • Moved GPU to other PCI-E slot
    • Tried RAM one stick at a time
    • Tested RAM with memtest
    • Replaced the PSU
    • Added a fan to the case and reseated the CPU with new paste

None of these processes changed any of the bad behavior of the PC. btw - temps look fine for all parts when I've monitored them.

I'm pretty much at a loss, I've run out of ideas. Hopefully this BSOD minidump can shed some light on what's wrong.

    Many thanks.

The last few days I've been having differrent behaviour when booting up. The PC seems to get through "starting windows" everytime now, but then goes to black screen after. One reset fixes this. But happens in this sequence each time I turn on my PC.

    Any clues?

You are running an ASUS Product ID (PID) on a Gigabyte board.
    This makes your installation counterfeit.
Troubleshooting a counterfeit installation is useless as it is not known what has been modified to your system.
A counterfeit installation contains heavily modified code which causes the system to behave in unexpected ways.
For this reason, analyzing counterfeit systems is unreliable and most analysts won't try it.
    Code:
    OS Configuration: Standalone Workstation
    OS Build Type: Multiprocessor Free
    Registered Owner: Jack
    Registered Organization:
Product ID: 00426-OEM-8992662-00481 <-- ASUS PID on Gigabyte board
    Original Install Date: 21/01/2016, 13:14:14
    System Boot Time: 09/02/2016, 09:30:21
System Manufacturer: Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd.
I recommend to install a genuine copy of Windows.
If, after you have installed a genuine copy of Windows, you still get BSOD's we'll be happy to assist you.

I bought the windows 7 OS on ebay.

If you won't help, please could you give me a link to WinDbg download? I cannot locate the windows 7 version on the microsoft website anymore. I need to analyse those minidumps.

The problem is that you have an oem_slp which can't be activated without a crack on a retail board.

I would get my money back and get a valid activation.
